TDD-01.5: Fundamentals of Refactoring

Audience: Software Developers

Prerequisite: Successful completion of TDD-01.4: Code Isolation and External Dependencies.

Duration: 3 hours live online instruction, plus about 30 minutes of preparation.

  • Code Smells and Refactorings

Micro-Class roadmap:

This class is heavily hands-on, experiential, and interactive. You will practice refactoring to improve the design of code under development and refactoring to remediate code smells in existing code with guidance from the instructor. You also receive original written information and links to curated online content with the instructor’s explanatory notes.

Programming exercises are done collaboratively using remote Mob Programming.

On successful completion of the course you earn the microcredential for Fundamentals of Refactoring, which is the final of five toward the TDD Fundamentals microcredential.
